Books, Paintings, Drawings, and Much More in the Wings

Thanks for stopping by. We'll get right to the artwork cause I've been rather busy and because life is sliding along nicely without much commotion. That suits me fine!
Enjoy!

These are the previous book covers sewn into actual books. They are all sewn in the pamphlet stitch with crochet cotton of one color or another. Each is 2.5x3.5 inches.

Acrylics, watercolors and sparkly paint on cardstock.
This one came about because instead of wiping my brush on the painting rag, I used a bookmark size piece of cardstock to accomplish the same thing.

Two Little Books
The white one on the left is 2.5x3.5 inches in size. It has copy paper pages numbering 48, sewn with crochet cotton in the long stitch. The cover is plain cardstock, ready for you own design.

Red Heart Tree Book is done in markers on cardstock. It measures 2.5x3, sewn with crochet cotton in the pamphlet stitch. It has 16 copy paper pages.

Collage Fish

The fish was done separately, cut out and adhered to the painted book page beneath it.

Ugly Fish Book
(with neat copper closure)
And yes, the closure is the only redeeming thing about this little book, in my opinion. That isn't for me to decide though. This started out being another of the heart tree books but it went horribly wrong when I was trying to cover up my fingerprints with a blue background (after I'd already painted the tree). Stupid idea! So I drew that cute little fish, painted it watercolors and adhered it to the front cover. Then I just couldn't let it be. NO! JUST HAD to a 'little' more to it...and we all know if you don't stop when the muse says stop, she's gonna sit back and just let you make a fool of yourself with an ugly picture from one that was much better before you'd mucked it up royally!
It's still a functional little book, it's just not one you're gonna show off to your friends because you love the little fish on the front cover!
There are 16 copy paper pages sewn with thin copper wire in the pamphlet stitch. I then covered the wire with copper foil tape and a green plastic bead. The book is 2.5x3.5 inches.

Multi-Heart Tree Book
2.5x3.5 inches, marker on cardstock.
You can see the fingerprints on this one that resulted in the ugly fish you just saw! I had enough sense to just let this one be. I traded it for an ATC, so it must not be too awful.  Sewn in pamphlet stitch with crochet cotton, 16 pages.

I forget what the heck I called this one. She's done in acrylics and watercolor on book page. Her hair was gessoed and then I wrote all over it.
'And this morning I have tired of this constant watching shadow girl'
I wrote it over and over till her hair became what you see here.

I don't know how many pieces are in this post. I do know there are other things done, but waiting on me to either take a picture or download the pictures already taken. There will soon be another post!
Thanks for taking a look!

Be good to one another!
It matters!
Peace
